A native Houstonian, Mrs. Rahman graduated from Howard University in Washington, DC. After graduation, she returned home to Houston and soon began a prestigious career as a stage actress, secondary theater arts educator and writer. While she enjoyed teaching all her students, the experience of teaching middle-school students with autism became the bridge to her future. Soon thereafter, she began graduate studies at Texas Woman’s University to become a Speech Language Pathologist. Mrs. Rahman has worked as a Speech Pathologist in schools, rehab facilities for stroke care, and ECI - Early Childhood Intervention. She is board certified by the American Speech Hearing Association, a certified provider of DIR Floortime, Tomatis Provider, and is an active member of several speech communication organizations. When not playing with her patients, she enjoys spending magical moments with her husband, daughter, and dogs at local parks.
